I went on my first run at the end of 2008 and successfully completed my first Half-Ironman on March 31st, 2012.

This blog is about exercising, finding the best music to workout to and beating all the life hurdles that get in your way.

&lt;p&gt;Both 5ks.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;11:41 avg yesterday (after 5 days not running)&lt;br/&gt;
11:20 avg today&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Cold. And windy.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And happy for Nike Wool tops and Under Armour Half-zip cold gear.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I’ve had some tights that I spent $$$ on and ended up being disappointed. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This morning I took a chance on &lt;a href="http://www.target.com/p/c9-by-champion-women-s-capri-compression-tight-assorted-colors/-/A-14104757#prodSlot=large_4_18" target="_blank"&gt;C9 by Champion Compression Tights&lt;/a&gt; (available at TARGET… I love that place)  I did a warm-up run and a core workout in them and never felt like they would ride down.  I was really pleased.  (Plus no sweat showing through so I felt pretty comfortable with my normal OVERLY sweaty physique).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And they were only $20. I could buy 4 of them to make up for the capris I thought would work out. I definitely learned my lesson :P&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Oh! And even though I have thunder thighs, I still felt comfortable at the gym. BEST FEELING EVER.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;BTW. I got a new sportwatch. I wanted the Garmin, but couldn’t justify the additional $200 compared to the Nike watch. I can use my old Garmin on the bike, this for the run. I don’t need anything for swim.&lt;/p&gt;
